WORLD magazine has been my favorite (and only subscription) magazine for at least five years now. It is amazing to me that so few people know about it. I tell them, it is a like a Christian “Time” or “Newsweek” because it has weekly news articles and commentary, but it is authored and presented with a biblical worldview. When I first “discovered” WORLD, I was a subscriber to “Time.” After one particularly ridiculous cover story on man’s evolution from apes (which “Time” constantly cheers), I called “Time’s” publisher and cancelled my subscription and told them to NEVER send me another one, or even a solicitation, for I was utterly disgusted not only with their secular ignorance, but also with their glaring liberal slant on all news topics. I hope– if you have not already read this wonderful, engaging, intellectually stimulating and culturally indicting magazine–that you will read it and become acquainted with the excellent writers and editors, especially with Andree’ Seu (the editorial writer whose article is the reason for Josh Hamilton’s discussion on this topic). Her articles/essays are so deeply moving and “sharp” that I am almost always spiritually “awakened” by her insight, as if an alarm clock has once again jarred me from a groggy sleepwalk.
