Absolutely, I love Owen and Edwards. They have shaped me immensely. But if you were to compare Driscoll and Edwards as parents, Driscoll would come out on top. Clearly Edwards was less a family man. However, God still used the man and I am grateful for his time spent in his study, which I have benefited from, even if his children/ family suffered. Read the book "Marriage to a Difficult Man: The Uncommon Union of Jonathan and Sarah Edwards." In the end, 3 truths remain: 1} God is to be the judge. 2} People who hold to the doctrines of grace {Reformed} were put together in the above list because they are/were reformed, NOT because I was listing people of "astonishing lives of holiness and dedication." 3} In the end, Owen and Edwards are just as depraved as you and I. Jesus is the only One who lived a life of astonishing dedication and holiness as the perfect Lamb of God. I’ll let God be the judge of “astonishing dedication” and “lives of holiness.” Absolutely, I love Owen and Edwards. They have shaped me immensely.
