Happy Birthday, Jamin!

img_0810.jpg

Today is our second son’s 5th birthday. Hard to believe that 5 years have passed already. Man, I’m getting old…Anyways, this is a shout out to Jamin, whose name in Hebrew means “right hand”. Jamin likes hip-hop and rap {hence the pose}, reggae and The Beatles. Today we’re chillin’ at Chuck E. Cheese {which ironically sounds like its a hip-hop rap name! Chuck E. is the original gangsta…P to tha I to tha double Z, A!}.

Here is a blessing for you, Jamin, from Psalm 20:

1 May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble!
May the name of the God of Jacob protect you!
2 May he send you help from the sanctuary
and give you support from Zion!
3 May he remember all your offerings
and regard with favor your burnt sacrifices! Selah

4 May he grant you your heart’s desire
and fulfill all your plans!
5 May we shout for joy over your salvation,
and in the name of our God set up our banners!
May the Lord fulfill all your petitions!

6 Now I know that the Lord saves his anointed;
he will answer him from his holy heaven
with the saving might of his right hand {JAMIN!}
7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.

Apologies + Thanks

Sorry I have not posted in over a week! I have been busy working on a music project with the band that I play with. We just recorded some sweet accordian for one of our songs. We have a myspace page up, but we may ditch that altogether and go with another one. Either way, we will have new songs posted some time in the next few weeks, Lord willing. Also, we are set to resume/finish a worship project that we started well over a year ago! I’ll let you know when that wraps up as well. Thanks for stopping by. I hope you enjoy reading as much as I do writing…

P.S. I want to thank a good freind, Kent, for buying me a copy of Steven Lawson’s new book “Foundations of Grace.” I read the foreward by John McArthur, which was an excellent reminder of God’s sovereignty and purposes in salvation and creation…Thanks again Kent! Its a great book!
