Starbucks vs. McDonalds

You can get some ring-side action here. Watch out Daddy Starbucks, The Ronald is fast on your heels!

  1. I’m a coffee drink, hot & black, like my … Harley’s seat in August.

    So, I don’t know much about the fu-fu stuff that the Rabbi might drink. I’m just a caveman in the coffee arena, but Mickey D’s has some pretty good coffee. I might not be as good as Starbuck’s, but it’s not like what they serve at Texaco … and free reloads.

    ; – )

  2. Yes, me too… no fu-fu for me….I like my coffee cold or hot, just black {like my heart- sorry, I’m reading Overcoming Temptation by John Owen. It tends to dominate your thoughts!!}.

    I’m glad Micky D’s is giving Starbucks a run for their money. Maybe this stems from a man who worked for the ‘Bucks for iver 10 years and recently was freed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    The Rabbi {or Rib-eye if you’re a meat eater}

  3. Even though I am not a big coffee drinker, I like to go to Starbucks. To me, the best quality of the coffee house is the atmosphere, which invites solitude (or fellowship, depending) and relaxation; sort of like a library, only “cooler.” I can read a book while I sip my frappuccino and not feel like the restaurant manager or waiter wants me gone from the table because more customers are waiting. It is the “welcoming” environment that we are striving to build into our new Christian bookstore and coffee bar; I hope (and pray) there are many others in our hometown who are like me, and would enjoy the coffee house experience!
